You're Afraid, Do it Anyway!

Have you ever been frustrated with yourself because you don't have your friend's talents? I sure have. I'm surrounded by talented people, my daughter who has the most beautiful singing voice, so many artists, and even tax professionals! I would love to have their talents, and maybe if I worked hard enough at art, I'd be an artist too. But what I do know is that God gave each of us gifts uniquely fitted to who we are, and it's a waste of my time and energy to sit around wishing I had someone else's. The hard part is actually using them, being courageous enough to do the scary thing anyway.

I'm winding down Season 8 with a little potpourri of everything that's been on my heart. I share a beautiful lesson I learned from Holly Fowler about nature "listening" and letting go before a storm. As well as a boat ride with my son Sheldon and grandchild JJ that had me in tears of gratitude that I knew could not be possible if Sheldon was not sober. I get honest about the fear that still shows up when I am on stage at speaking engagements and why I've decided that doesn't mean I lack courage, it just means I have to keep tapping into it. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me along the way. I can't wait for you to see what's in store in the next season!
