The lore builds layer by layer — six-toed footprints walking up walls, furniture stacked to the ceiling, shadow figures, chalk writing in Latin, and a ghost who flirts with Debbie across the centuries — and just when you think you've got a handle on what's happening, the investigators brought in to study it turn out to either not exist or to vanish completely.
