Robert Robinson and Slavery | Particular Pilgrims
Four years before Abraham Booth preached his famous sermon against English slavery, another pastor, usually classified as a Particular Baptist, Robert Robinson, preached his own widely admired sermon on the topic. In his home church in Cambridge, on Sunday, February 10, 1788, Robinson delivered a message entitled “Slavery Inconsistent with the Spirit of Christianity.”
