Australia vs Bangladesh 1st Test: Day 3 Wrap BANGLADESH EDGE CLOSER TO HISTORY
Bangladesh have dominated all three days of the first Test in Darwin and are now just six wickets away from a famous victory over Australia. Menners reviews a remarkable day of Test cricket, as Bangladesh extended their first-innings lead to 228 before Australia finished on 4-161, still trailing by 67 runs.
Josh Hazlewood claimed his 300th Test wicket and finished with 6-89, while Bangladesh showed remarkable patience with the bat, led by centuries from Tanzid Hasan and valuable contributions from Shanto and Mehedi Hasan. Australia’s top-order problems continued, with Jake Weatherald, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne all failing, leaving Cameron Green and Alex Carey to give Australia a glimmer of hope heading into Day 4.
