In 1979, a young Texas man sets out for Louisiana in search of a woman he met only once but couldn't forget. A wrong turn and a broken-down truck leave him stranded on a remote Cajun farm, where he agrees to work the crawfish fields while his truck is repaired. But when something enormous begins watching him from the edge of the swamp, his unexpected detour turns into a Bigfoot encounter—and, surprisingly, helps lead him to the woman he was searching for all along.
