Acts 9:1-22 - A Father's Pursuit

Pastor Tyler Anderson preaches from Acts 9:1–22 on Father’s Day, highlighting Saul’s conversion as a picture of a Heavenly Father who pursues His children. He draws four truths: God pursues us even when we run from Him, as Saul persecuted Christians on the road to Damascus; God changes lives, not just behavior, shown in Saul’s blindness, repentance, and transformation; God uses ordinary people like Ananias to encourage and restore others through obedience, welcome (“Brother Saul”), healing, and the Holy Spirit; and God gives purpose bigger than ourselves, calling Saul to carry Jesus’ name and even suffer for it. Saul is baptized, strengthened, joins the disciples, and immediately proclaims Jesus as the Son of God, amazing and confounding those who knew his past, and the church is urged to live on mission and reflect the Father’s grace.
