Israeli Settlers Accused of 'Ethnic Cleansing'

Britain, France and Canada have announced sweeping sanctions on trade with Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. The British Foreign Secretary accused Israeli settlers of "ethnic cleansing" against the Palestinians living there. Israel responded by ordering the closure of the British consulate in Jerusalem. The U.S. has yet to push back against the sanctions. The U.N. says settler violence has reached unprecedented levels and this summer, dozens of prominent figures in Israel signed a letter demanding action to 'eradicate Jewish terrorism' in the West Bank. Among them was former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. He joins the program from Tel Aviv.
