Interpreting Macao's new Five-Year Plan and its economic prospects
The Macao Special Administrative Region has unveiled its third Five-Year Plan for 2026 to 2030, setting out a roadmap for the city's next stage of development. The plan puts economic diversification at the center, with a goal of raising non-gaming industries to around 60 percent of GDP by 2030. It also calls for deeper integration with Hengqin and the Greater Bay Area, while strengthening governance and national security.
