The guy on the other end told her that her mom had just gotten a promotion at work, and that the two of them should go pick out a gift for her. So Amy walked from school over to the Bay Square Shopping Center that afternoon to meet him. Kids from her class saw her talking to a man near the barbershop, and that's the last anybody saw of her.
