#148 Curing Burnout with Creative Play with Alexandra Reid

In this episode, we talk to Alexandra Reid. She is a scientist, artist and coach who allows herself to be a beginner again. Alexandra lives in Canada.

Alexandra tells us about sitting on a comma with burnout. During the pandemic, her important job moved into her personal space, as much of the world shifted to working from home. The pressure to perform for the sake of the job and the common good began to take a toll on Alexandra. Over a period of two years, she approached a critical point in such small steps she didn’t notice them. Then, a “doodling moment” happened that changed her entire trajectory. Tune in to hear what Alexandra means when she says “I had to give myself permission to just play”.

You can find Alexandra on:

Website: https://mindartwellness.com/

LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alexandra-j-reid/

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lexireidstudio/

Alexandra would like to acknowledge the following individuals, organizations and/or causes that matter to her and invite you to consider supporting them and/or sharing their messages:

Mental Health Recovery Partners https://mhrp.ca Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island (formerly BC Schizophrenia Society, South Island) has been a proud and accomplished member of the mental health and substance use sector for 40 years.
