Wicking base layers, ventilated full-face helmets, light-colored mesh, hydration packs and cooling layers make heat manageable, while naked skin gets the hair-dryer treatment with worse consequences. Her final baguette move asks riders to lend strangers one charitable thought before judging their gear, bike or bad day, then save "what a butthead" for the evidence.
