Living Economics, an arm of Respectonomics, explores the truth of tariffs, that in the case of Canada and the U.S.A. is a disguise for punitive, escalating sanctions. Already tariffs receive poor ratings as history proves they become an impediment to bringing the “best to the most”. Sanctions are tariffs on steroids. with the intent to cripple a nation’s socio-economic stability – in this case to upend a brilliant relationship between two inter-dependent nations. It is incumbent on Republicans to seize the levers of responsibility.
