<p>Deuteronomy 19 reveals that truth is essential to the life of God’s covenant people. When false testimony is tolerated, innocent people are harmed, justice is corrupted, and trust within the community begins to collapse. God therefore commands his people to investigate carefully, judge impartially, and refuse to use their words as weapons against one another.</p><p>In this sermon, we consider what this command means for followers of Jesus today. Truthfulness is more than avoiding obvious lies—it is a way of life shaped by the character of God.
