THSRC Apologizes for Signal Failure Causing Delays

A signal failure near Taipei Station caused train delays across the Taiwan

High Speed Rail network last night.

High speed rail officials reported that a turnout mechanism malfunctioned at

the northern end of Taipei Station at 8:42 p.m.

Maintenance crews were deployed immediately, and normal train operations were

restored by 9:36 p.m.

Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp. apologized for the travel disruptions (中斷 / 擾亂),

and confirmed that passengers delayed between 30 and 60 minutes qualify for a

50% ticket refund.
