<p>Growing up in the ’90s, a lot of girls were taught to be polite before they were taught to be safe. Attention from older men was normalized, boundaries were blurred, and discomfort was often dismissed as “just how things were.”</p><p><br></p><p>In this episode, the subtle and not-so-subtle ways grooming culture showed up in my life during that era — through relationships, family dynamics, and the pressure to stay quiet. We talk about what it means to look back with adult eyes, relearn consent and boundaries, and finally understand that “being nice” should never come at the expense of your safety.</p><p><br></p><p>This conversation is about unlearning, healing, and finding your voice — especially if you were never taught that you were allowed to say no.</p>
