China aims to join ranks of global auto powerhouses by 2030

China's top industry regulator has unveiled its 15th five-year plan for the new energy vehicle industry. By 2030, NEVs are targeted to account for 70% of domestic new passenger-car sales, and 40% of new commercial-vehicle sales.
