<p>The Man-eaters of Tsavo is a 1907 book by John Henry Patterson, a British railway engineer, detailing his firsthand account of hunting two man-eating lions that terrorized workers building the Uganda Railway in Kenya in 1898. </p><p>This book is one of my favorites and has been a part of my life since childhood.</p><p>The book describes the lions&#39; attacks, which halted construction and killed nearly 140 people, and Patterson&#39;s efforts to kill them, which involved facing challenges like floods and worker mutinies, and ultimately became a classic adventure and hunting story. <br></p>
