They Met on TikTok…Now They’re Riding 1,000 Miles for Mental Health - @Intrusiveriders | Ep.14

From meeting through a TikTok live and one simple message — “I really like your bike” — to building a relationship, community and motorcycle channel together, Danny and Shelley of Intrusive Riders have a story filled with adventures, mistakes, laughter and purpose.

In this episode of the JUSTRIDE Podcast, we discover how they met, why they chose a bungee jump for their first date and how their honest approach to motorcycle content has connected with riders across the UK.

Shelley talks openly about her journey as a relatively new rider, including the mistakes, confidence struggles and advanced training that have helped her become safer and more confident on the bike. We also discuss cornering, target fixation, changing motorcycles, trusting your tyres and why riders should never feel pressured to prove themselves.

Danny shares the deeply personal story behind one of their most vulnerable videos, the overwhelming response it received and why it inspired their biggest challenge yet.

From 11–15 August 2026, Danny and Shelley will ride more than 1,000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats over five days without using motorways. Along the way, they will host four motorcycle nights to raise money and awareness for Andy’s Man Club and Mental Health Motorbike.

This is more than a motorcycle journey. It is about encouraging people to talk, reach out and realise that they do not have to face difficult moments alone.

Follow Intrusive Riders, register for one of the bike nights and support the charity ride: https://linktr.ee/Intrusiveriders

In this episode:

• How Danny and Shelley met through TikTok
• The message that started their relationship
• Their bungee-jump first date
• Showing the real and imperfect side of motorcycle life
• Shelley’s riding mistakes and confidence journey
• Advanced rider training and improving cornering
• The pressures and realities of creating motorcycle content
• Grief, vulnerability and mental wellbeing
• The video that reached around one million people
• Their 1,000-mile Land’s End to John O’Groats charity ride
• The NC500, motorcycle camping and Scottish midges
• Their dream motorcycles and favourite roads

Follow JUSTRIDE: https://linktr.ee/justride_app

Subscribe for more conversations with the riders, creators and organisations shaping the future of motorcycling.

#IntrusiveRiders #MotorcyclePodcast #MotorcycleCommunity #MentalHealthAwareness #AndysManClub #MentalHealthMotorbike #MotorcycleCouple #LandEndToJohnOGroats #JUSTRIDE
