8 of 7: Walk the Way — Trust and Walk in God’s Ways

<p><a href="https://www.buzzsprout.com/1820733/fan_mail/new" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">Send us Fan Mail</a></p><p>What does it mean to trust God when tomorrow remains uncertain?</p><p>Jesus said:</p><blockquote>“Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”</blockquote><p>Jesus did not promise that faithful people would never experience suffering, uncertainty, loss, or hardship. Instead, He taught us to seek God’s Kingdom, receive today as it comes, and trust the Father with what we cannot yet see.</p><p>This bonus episode—<b>8 of 7</b> in the <em>Walk the Way</em> series—follows the biblical story from <b>Babel to Abraham, Sinai, David, Jesus, and Pentecost</b>.</p><p>At Babel, humanity united in rebellion and the nations were scattered. God then narrowed His focus to Abraham so that blessing could eventually reach every family of the earth.</p><p>At Sinai, God formed Israel as a kingdom of priests and gave His Word to shape a rescued people. But Sinai did not reverse Babel. Israel was supposed to carry God’s wisdom to the nations, yet the kingdom of David could not complete that calling.</p><p>The prophets therefore promised a new covenant. God would place His instruction within His people, give them a new heart, and put His Spirit inside them so they could walk in His ways.</p><p>King Jesus accomplished what the earthly kingdom could not.</p><p>He humbled Himself, entered our suffering, demonstrated sacrificial love, surrendered His life, overcame the grave, and poured out the Holy Spirit. At Pentecost, people from many nations heard the works of God proclaimed in their own languages. What had been scattered at Babel began to be gathered through Jesus.</p><p>The Spirit was not given merely to produce powerful experiences. He was given to transform human hearts and teach God’s people how to live.</p><p>His presence produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.</p><p>Trusting God therefore does not mean pretending that tomorrow will contain no trouble.
