<p>We love God’s mercy when we are the ones who need it... but what happens when He shows that same mercy to someone we resent? </p><p>Jonah 4 exposes the uncomfortable distance between receiving grace and extending compassion, revealing how easily we can care more about our comfort than the people God is pursuing.</p><p>As Jonah grieves a dying plant while remaining unmoved by an entire city, God confronts the misplaced loves and narrow compassion ruling his heart. </p><p>This message challenges us to name the comforts we protect, identify the people we have written off, and consider whether God’s mercy has made us comfortable or moved us toward the lost. </p><p>Jesus, the greater Jonah, gave up His comfort, moved toward His enemies, and suffered outside the city so that we could live.</p>
