Erin Patterson's (The Mushroom Cook) Appeal

Erin Patterson (the Mushroom Cook) is back in court, fighting to overturn her convictions for murdering three people and attempting to murder a fourth with a meal containing deadly death cap mushrooms. Her lawyers are arguing that serious flaws in the original trial, including how the jury was accommodated, the admission of certain evidence and the way Patterson was cross-examined, compromised the verdict. Prosecutors strongly reject those claims, arguing the evidence against her was overwhelming. Meanwhile, the prosecution is also appealing Patterson’s sentence, seeking life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
