Alissa Ellman grew up in Houghton, NY. She is the youngest of 6 children. Her first job was at Houghton College. She joined the military as a way earn money and pay for college. Alissa entered the National Guard’s Basic Training. Shortly after her return, September 11th happened and, as for so many, everything changed.
