Yugoslav communist: How should Marxists understand and fight terrorism?

Who are the real terrorists in the world today? How do we decide who is a terrorist and who is a freedom fighter?

Communist party leader and ANC armed wing commander Chris Hani was viewed by the South African masses as a freedom fighter, but branded by the apartheid government and its imperialist backers as a terrorist. Clearly, Marxists need to make a clear distinction between our rejection of the ‘terrorism’ label as applied by imperialism to its opponents, and our criticism of those individual acts of terror that are counterproductive to the cause of working-class and anti-imperialist liberation.
