The Scott Adams School - 08/27/26 Stefan Molyneux returns!

## The Scott Adams School — Thursday, August 27, 2026

Today we welcome back a **Scott Adams School favorite, philosopher extraordinaire Stefan Molyneux!**

We never quite know where a conversation with Stefan is going to take us, which is exactly why we love having him here.

Today we want to explore **philosophy and persuasion**. Do the two work together? Does philosophy need persuasion in order to spread good ideas, or should a sound philosophical argument be able to stand entirely on its own? And what happens when the most persuasive argument isn’t necessarily the most philosophically sound one?

We’ll also ask Stefan about his upcoming **Word War Debate**, including the intriguingly titled **“God vs. God?”** matchup, what exactly he’ll be debating, how he’s preparing for it, and how you can watch or attend.

And then, naturally, we’ll see where the conversation takes us. With Stefan, making a rigid agenda seems almost philosophically indefensible anyway.

### A reminder about our chat

We **love an engaged chat**. Debate, disagree, challenge ideas, make your case, and have fun. That has always been part of this community.

But there is an important distinction between **challenging an idea and attacking a person.**

**Scott Adams, Inc. has moderators overseeing the chat**, and the policy is straightforward:

**First strike:** If you personally insult or attack a host, guest, or another member of the chat, moderators may place you on a **temporary mute**. You’ll still be able to watch the show, but you won’t be able to comment during that restriction.

**Second strike:** If the behavior happens again after your mute is lifted, moderators may **block you from the account altogether.**

Please remember that **these are Scott’s friends and Scott’s invited guests.** Think of it as being welcomed into Scott’s house. You can disagree with somebody sitting at the table. You don’t get to insult them from across it.

Strong opinions are welcome. **Personal attacks, petty digs, and snide insults are not debate**, and they won’t be allowed to spoil the experience for everyone else.

This policy comes from **Scott Adams, Inc.** and is handled by the moderation team.

### Help support the School

Please **LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and SHARE the show** with your friends. It really does help introduce more people to Scott’s work and keep this community growing.

And for some of our best conversations, join us over on **Scott’s Locals community at ScottAdams.Locals.com**. Membership is **$7 a month**, and your subscription directly supports the continuing efforts of **The Scott Adams School**.

We’d love to see more of you over there.

⚠️ **As always, language, clips, opinions, and occasionally the chat may get spicy.** You have been duly warned.

Thank you for being here, for participating, and for helping us continue what Scott created. We appreciate every one of you.

**The Scott Adams School**

YouTube • Rumble • Locals • X • Spotify
