Foodborne Illnesses - What to know

In this fifty-fourth episode of SCDP’s ECHO podcast, Dr. Gavin Harris reviews the Region IV Special Pathogens of Concern Situation Report. Dr. Yokabed (Yoki) Ermias presents a case of foodborne illness, highlighting evaluation, differential diagnosis, diagnostic testing, management, and prevention. Dr. Lindsey Gottlieb presents on foodborne illness in the healthcare setting, with a focus on norovirus, broad categories of disease, and the importance of the Identify, Isolate, and Inform paradigm.
