<p>This week, as we continue our That’s Interesting series, we’ll explore the question, “What is baptism, and why is it important?” Why has the church practiced baptism for thousands of years? Why was Jesus baptized? And why do we practice believer's baptism? Baptism is an ancient practice, but it is also a deeply personal and public declaration of faith. As we look at the story of baptism from John the Baptist to the Great Commission, to baptism in the Church today, we'll consider what it means to publicly align ourselves with Jesus.</p>
