Auburn football has a simple assignment against Southern Miss: impose its will.

After escaping Baylor with a win, Auburn now gets an opportunity to show what this offense is supposed to look like when the Tigers have the advantage in talent. The number to watch could be 250 rushing yards. If Auburn gets there while producing another 250 yards through the air, that's roughly 500 yards of total offense and the type of performance that would answer some important questions from Week 1.

Against Baylor, there weren't many moments when Auburn's offense physically imposed its will. The final touchdown drive was different. Byrum Brown was efficient, Auburn moved down the field and the offense finally looked like the unit many expected to see throughout the game.
