Algorithmic Sovereignty and Post-Human Politics | 9/2/26

Everyone is talking about how the implementation of artificial intelligence will revolutionize employment or education, but very few are talking about how it will change politics. The managerial revolution changed how societies were organized, placing large amounts of power into mass bureaucracies and mass media. Now the AI will replace much of the population management that was achieved thorough bureaucracy, but that means control of the algorithm also means control of the state.
