הכוונה בהאמור לעיל אודות ההוספה בלימוד התורה היא גם להאורחים. עליהם לארגן מיד שיעורי תורה לפחות פעמיים ביום – בלימוד הלכה למעשה ובלימוד לשם לימוד התורה, תפלה בציבור ונתינת הצדקה וכו'. ואשרי חלקם של כל המשתתפים, ובכך גם יפעלו על התושבים שגם הם יוסיפו בלימוד התורה (ובמכ"ש וק"ו). כל השנה זמנו הוא, ועאכו"כ בחודש אלול ובי"ב ימים האחרונים של החודש; כאן המקום להביע יישר-כח על גודל הנחת-רוח מהמארגנים אש"ל עבור האורחים בדרכי נועם שלום וכבוד, ובודאי יעזרו להם. ולהדגיש: המנהג שנתפשט הוא שגם לנשי ובנות חב"ד ישנן שיעורי תורה, ומהן יראו וכן יעשו כל אשה ובת בישראל שיהי' להן שיעור קבוע בתורה כל יום, ורואים במוחש כמה שזה מוסיף ביראת-שמים. ותבוא ברכה על כל אלו שינהיגו אצל נשי ובנות ישראל שלא יעבור יום בלי שיעור בתורה. ולכן יש לארגן שיעורי תורה גם עבור האורחות.

Synopsis

Our earlier discussion about increasing in Torah study also applies to the Tishrei guests: Torah classes should be arranged at least twice a day for the study of practical halachah and for Torah study for its own sake, which will also inspire the locals to increase their own Torah study (because they will see that if people who are away from the comfort of home can devote time to learning, they can surely do so as well), and fortunate is the lot of all who participate. The time for Torah study is the entire year, especially during the month of Elul, and especially during the last twelve days of the month (each of which corresponds to one month of the outgoing year). This is the place to express appreciation for those organizing hospitality for the guests and for doing it pleasantly, peacefully, and with dignity, and surely others will assist them. Torah study is also for women and girls – and may blessing come upon all who see to it that not a day passes without regular Torah classes for them as well.
