Philippians 3:17–21 — Where do you belong?
Welcome to this week's worship service at The Vine!
In today's message from Philippians 3:17–21, Paul reminds us that knowing where we truly belong should change the way we live right now.
At the heart of this passage is a powerful truth:
When you know where you belong, it changes how you live where you are.
Paul warns believers to be careful about the examples they follow and not to allow earthly desires, comforts, or priorities to take God's place in their lives. Instead, he points us toward a greater reality: our citizenship is in heaven, and we are eagerly awaiting our Savior, Jesus Christ.
In this message, we explore:
* Why it matters who we choose to follow
* How good things can become idols when they begin to rule our lives
* What it means for our citizenship to be in heaven
* How an eternal perspective changes our priorities today
* The hope we have as we wait for Christ's return
The things of this world are temporary, but the Kingdom of God is eternal. Instead of asking, “What can I get out of this life?” this passage challenges us to ask, “What can I give for the Kingdom of God?”
