The series stars Sheridan Smith as Leanne, a widowed mother of two struggling with mounting bills and trying to protect her family, and Michael Socha as Matty, a recovering addict in debt to a dangerous loan shark. Both work inside a Liverpool casino. When Leanne and Matty realise they are both stealing from their employer, their lives are set on a high-stakes collision course.
