Episode 126: Early Season Bucks | Food Plots | Stand Placement |
Hunting season is almost here and we are ready to get back in the woods.
This week we are talking all things early season whitetails. We get into food plots, what to plant, where to put them and why you do not need a tractor or a giant piece of ground to make a good kill plot. We also break down stand placement, staging areas, bedding, scouting and how close you should actually get to a buck early in the season.
One of the biggest things we get into is hunting the hallway. You do not always need to be right on top of a buck's bed. Figure out where he is bedding, where he wants to go and find the best spot somewhere in between.
We finish it up with some quick hitters on mornings versus evenings, cold fronts, hunting in the heat and when it is time to start moving away from your early season setups.
Bucks and ducks are almost here. Let's go.
