Faith in the Fire: Walking through Childhood Cancer Part I

<p>God was already there before anybody knew anything was wrong.</p><p>Ciarra Wilson is 25, married to Logan, and mom to a three and a half year old named Jackson. In Part 1 she walks Gina back through everything that led up to his diagnosis, and the whole thing reads like God going first.</p><p>She was home that day instead of at school. Jackson was in a diaper instead of the potty. And she&#39;d just finished the pediatrics semester of nursing school, so the second she saw it, she knew it wasn&#39;t normal. None of that was luck.</p><p>There&#39;s more of it, too. A traumatic birth where Jackson came out blue and wasn&#39;t breathing. An asthma diagnosis at 15 months that made Wolfson&#39;s familiar ground long before they ever needed it to be. A hospital stay on his second birthday, the first time this family ever asked publicly for prayer, and he was completely well inside of 30 minutes.</p><p>Gina shares her own story too, the night a mother&#39;s intuition saved her newborn son. Both of these women got sent home once and went back anyway. Both times it mattered.
