A Piece of Your Mind vs. the Peace of Christ | With Carmen LaBerge
What if the thing that finally made God feel real to you wasn't a sermon, but a season of grief you never asked for?
In this episode of the 100xLife Podcast, Rob Dayton sits down with Carmen LaBerge, host of the daily syndicated radio program The Reconnect with Carmen LaBerge and a longtime friend of the podcast. Carmen holds a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, but this conversation isn't about credentials. It's about what actually makes faith real.
Carmen traces her story back to age fifteen, when she lost a close friend and then her father within the same year. In the middle of that grief, she describes an experience of God that's never left her: being held. That sense of being held is what allows her to walk into hard conversations and other people's pain without flinching.
From there, the conversation moves into what it looks like to bring Christ into everyday conversations without sounding like a sermon, including Carmen's framework for evaluating her own thought life, and a candid conversation about how easily Christians drift toward the occult without realizing it.
