EP 82 Why I Left the Only Church I’ve Ever Known After 22 Years

I left the only church I had ever known after 22 years.

Not because I hate the church.
Not because I’m trying to destroy anyone.
And not because I lost my faith.

I left because the mission God placed on my life can no longer be softened, separated, or silenced.

The modern church has ministries for pornography, alcohol, broken marriages, finances, and parenting—and it should.

But where is the ministry confronting obesity, food addiction, physical weakness, and the undisciplined lifestyles slowly destroying God’s people?

We talk about stewarding our money while refusing to talk about stewarding our bodies.

We preach abundant life while many believers are sick, exhausted, addicted, physically incapable, and merely waiting to die.

That isn’t condemnation. It’s a call to wake up.

In this deeply personal episode, I explain:

🔥 Why my family is leaving Lifegate after 22 years
🔥 What happened after one of my posts was removed
🔥 Where I was wrong—and what God convicted me about
🔥 Why I still love and honor the people who helped build my faith
🔥 The message about faith, fitness, and discipline that I refuse to silence
🔥 Why the Western Church must begin training strong, capable disciples

My faith and physicality are connected by a bridge called discipline.

This isn’t about six-pack abs.
It’s about becoming strong enough to carry your calling.
It’s about protecting, providing, leading, serving, and standing in the gap.
It’s about ensuring that what you say you believe finally lines up with how you live.

“No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” — Hebrews 12:11

I’m not backing down.

I’m not getting quieter.

And this is only the beginning.

If you’re ready to become strong, fit, capable, and fully committed to following Jesus, comment STAND below.

🌊 Get connected: https://jimmotz.com
📘 Get I Asked God to Kill Me: Available on Amazon
📲 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/realjimmotz/
▶️ Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/@BuildingandBecoming-7

It doesn’t matter
