Long before YouTube became a platform for preserving history, Gary Nourse and Irvin Harris worked together in the rapidly changing telecommunications industry.

Their professional connection included working at PictureTel Corporation in Andover, Massachusetts, where Irvin worked as a LiveScheduler Product Support Engineer. This was an era when corporate videoconferencing required considerably more infrastructure than clicking a link and joining an online meeting.

Gary and Irvin later worked together at Lucent Technologies in Westford, Massachusetts, supporting major telecommunications providers using Ascend and Lucent switches. Their work involved sophisticated technology including Report Generator, Sybase databases, Actuate software, and troubleshooting systems used by large telecommunications companies.
