Hurt by Someone You Love? God May Be Working on Your Heart Too | Genesis 42:1-24

Sometimes healing requires more than one heart to change.

Today we’re continuing Joseph’s story in Genesis 42, where he comes face to face with the very brothers who betrayed him, sold him into slavery, and changed the course of his life.

And yet, Joseph doesn’t immediately reveal who he is.

He waits.

His brothers begin confronting what they had done years earlier, and then something happens that I don’t want us to miss:

Joseph weeps.

Because while God was working on their hearts, He was still doing a work in Joseph’s heart too.

Sis, sometimes we can become so focused on what God needs to change in somebody else that we forget to ask what He may still be healing, refining, or releasing in us.
