Head Coach Who Stays Grounded | Colorado State Rams Basketball News

Ali Farokhmanesh’s first year as head coach was a balancing act—juggling the weight of leadership with his signature hands-on player development. While the demands of the top job pushed him to question his approach, he leaned into his assistant roots during a rough stretch, diving deep into film and one-on-one workouts. That shift sparked a dramatic turnaround: eight straight wins, 20 total victories, and a NIT run. His unique blend of head-coach authority and assistant-level accessibility proved key. As CSU heads into the NIT, Farokhmanesh vows to reflect honestly—and grow—knowing that true coaching excellence never stops evolving.
