Buddy (2026) Horror Movie Review

<p>This week on the Couch of the Dead, we&#39;re talking about one of the strangest and most unexpectedly entertaining horror movies of 2026: Buddy!</p><p>Vanessa and Matt were so intrigued by the buzz surrounding this limited theatrical release that they went to see it TWICE, and now they&#39;re breaking down everything they loved, hated, laughed at, and couldn&#39;t stop thinking about.</p><p><em>Buddy</em> takes the innocent world of children&#39;s television and turns it into a dark, violent, surreal horror comedy filled with nostalgia, creepy talking objects, gruesome kills, and one seriously disturbing orange unicorn.</p><p>We start with a spoiler-free conversation about why <em>Buddy</em> works, its nostalgic 90s children&#39;s-TV aesthetic, and why this bizarre movie completely won us over.
