Theories and Interpretations of Prehistory Art

<p>In this episode of <strong>AP Art History in 15</strong>, Mr. Bruns explores how art historians develop theories and interpretations of prehistoric art. Using the <a href="https://smarthistory.org/hall-of-bulls-lascaux/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer"><strong>Great Hall of the Bulls at Lascaux</strong> </a>and <a href="https://smarthistory.org/stonehenge/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer"><strong>Stonehenge</strong></a>, students will examine how visual analysis, archaeology, astronomy, technology, and available evidence shape our understanding of art. Learn how to build evidence-based interpretations and recognize why multiple interpretations of a work can be historically valid.</p>
