West Point Milestones: Family Weekend

The podcast explains West Point’s Family Weekend and how it differs from Plebe Parent Weekend. Family Weekend, a newer fall event often tied to a football weekend, is open to anyone (parents, relatives, friends) and available all four years, and it’s one of the few chances to see cadet areas like the barracks. The hosts discuss how much time families get with cadets, how class privileges and good standing affect walking and overnight passes, and why Friday is the main day for tours, briefings, class visits, library and supply (WB4) tours, and barracks room visits. Saturday includes a parade, football game, and tailgates, and Sunday may offer brunch, chapel, and boat rides. They also note ticketing, clear-bag rules, and the possibility of a spirit pass after a win.

Below are the links to the parent insider page, signup for the newsletters and the army athletics website to get the most up to date information.

https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/USWESTPOINT/subscriber/new?preferences=true#tab1

https://www.westpoint.edu/gateway-for-parents

https://goarmywestpoint.com/
