In a somewhat surprising last minute offseason addition, the Rangers went out and signed unrestricted free agent Eeli Tolvanen to a 1 year deal to round out what I would consider to be a great offseason. Tolvanen is a former first round pick who has eclipsed 20 goals before, is tough on the puck, and plays a physical brand of hockey.
