Canadian Wearable Object - Pivoting to European Sales

<p>I&#39;ve designed and handmade a new piece, Canadian Wearable Object, which I will sell into Europe or Canada instead of America. The tariff insanity and Canada/US trade war has long shut the border to Canadian small and medium sized makers and artists. </p><p>For two years I&#39;ve battled to sell my products into America with minimal or no tariffs for my American customers, as per the trump signed CUSMA agreement, to no avail. I give up. </p><p>But how to pivot to Europe? While we have sold the occasional product to Europe before, our new focus demands we look more closely at how products can be sold from Canada -&gt; Europe with the least amount of fuss for a European customer. Luckily, Canada has a newish trade agreement with the EU called CETA that is designed just for this purpose.</p><p>In this episode I describe how I am pivoting our market and even our design &amp; marketing vibe, to sell into Europe. I talk about how I determined what EU tariffs would apply to my products, what extra fees a European customer might pay.
