Wild card Zheng Qinwen capped her China Open run with an ace on match point, downing No 4 seed Mirra Andreeva 7-5, 6-4 on Sunday night to become the first Chinese player to win the title at her home tournament — and claim her maiden WTA 1000 crown.

持外卡出战的郑钦文在赛点上轰出一记 ACE 球，为自己的中网征程画上圆满句号。周日晚间，她以 7 比 5、6 比 4 击败 4 号种子米拉・安德列娃，成为首位在本土赛事夺冠的中国选手，斩获个人首个 WTA1000 级别赛事冠军。

The 24-year-old fought off three set points to take a tight opening set 7-5, reeling off the last 11 points, before breaking late in the second to seal victory in one hour and 43 minutes and send the National Tennis Center into a frenzy.

这位 24 岁选手挽救三个盘点，以 7 比 5 拿下胶着的首盘，连拿最后 11 分；随后在第二盘末段完成破发，耗时 1 小时 43 分锁定胜局，国家网球中心全场沸腾。

"I always feel very proud to play in front of my home crowd. I always want to show them my best level, because I know how much they support me," Zheng said. "I don't want to let them down, and at the same time I don't want to let myself down. In a way, it's pressure, but at the same time it gives me motivation.

“在家乡观众面前比赛，我始终倍感自豪。我总想向他们展现自己最好的水平，因为我深知他们给予我的巨大支持，” 郑钦文说，“我不想让他们失望，也不想辜负自己。某种意义上这是压力，但同时也带给我动力。”

"The feeling was incredible to win here in Beijing, in front of my home crowd. It has been one of my dreams," she said.

“在北京、在家乡球迷面前夺冠，这种感觉难以言喻。这曾是我的梦想之一。” 她说。

Andreeva, this year's French Open champion, was gracious in defeat. "For sure, today she played great. We all know that she's had a tough year," said the 19-year-old. "I think that she's going to be raising her level even more soon."

今年法网冠军安德列娃虽败犹荣。这位 19 岁选手表示：“毫无疑问，今天她打得非常出色。我们都知道，她经历了艰难的一年。我相信她很快会把竞技水平提升到新高度。”

The title caps a remarkable turnaround for Zheng, who won China's first Olympic tennis singles gold medal in Paris in 2024 — a standout year in which she reached world No 5 by year-end — before an elbow injury slammed the brakes on her rise the next year.
