China will continue to prioritize employment promotion during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30), building on progress made in stabilizing the job market, officials said on Saturday.

有关负责人周六表示，“十五五” 规划时期（2026 至 2030 年），中国将继续把促进就业放在优先位置，在稳定就业市场已有成果基础上持续发力。

Figures released by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security show that about 10.52 million people found jobs in urban areas in the first nine months of 2026, achieving 87.7 percent of the annual target. The surveyed urban unemployment rate averaged 5.2 percent in the first eight months of the year.

人力资源和社会保障部发布的数据显示，2026 年前 9 个月城镇新增就业约 1052 万人，完成年度目标的 87.7%。今年前 8 个月城镇调查失业率均值为 5.2%。

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), more than 62 million people found jobs in urban areas, while the surveyed urban unemployment rate remained around 5.2 percent.

“十四五” 规划时期（2021 至 2025 年），城镇新增就业超过 6200 万人，城镇调查失业率维持在 5.2% 左右。

The ministry will prioritize full and high-quality employment, striving to provide more adequate job opportunities, a fairer working environment and more harmonious labor relations, while improving the structure of the job market and the balance between labor supply and demand over the next four years, said Li Zhong, a spokesman and vice-minister of human resources and social security, at a news conference in Beijing on Saturday.

人力资源和社会保障部副部长、新闻发言人李忠周六在北京新闻发布会上表示，未来四年，人社部将把实现更加充分更高质量就业作为优先方向，努力创造更加充足的就业机会、营造更加公平的就业环境、构建更加和谐的劳动关系，持续优化就业市场结构，促进劳动力供需平衡。

"The ministry will take more proactive fiscal and financial measures in the coming years and respond more effectively to the impact of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, on the job market," Li said.

李忠说：“未来几年，人社部将实施更加积极的财税金融政策，更加有效应对人工智能等新技术对就业市场带来的影响。”

He added that the government will place greater emphasis on stabilizing employment in labor-intensive and service industries while developing emerging industries to create more employment opportunities.

他补充说，政府将更加注重稳定劳动密集型产业和服务业就业，同时发展新兴产业，创造更多就业岗位。
