Birthday Records

We are back with another all analog, all vintage all vinyl show! This morning we will be playing tracks from albums that I received for my birthday this year from my wonderful parents, who have made it their mission to rescue as many records as possible from the thrift stores and tractor auctions across Wisconsin. There really isn’t any overarching theme this week, other than the usual subjects of heartache, drinking and criminal activity.

HERE’S WHAT WE PLAYED

Wynn Stewart “Playboy”

Billy Walker “I Guess Things Happen That Way”

Connie Smith & Nat Stuckey “I Got You”

Ray Price “Heartaches By the Number”

Ray Price “Crazy Arms”

Dolly Parton “It Wasn’t God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels” (excerpt)

Dolly Parton “Making Believe”

Mickey Gilley “Drinking Old Memories Down”

Hank Snow “The Golden Rocket”

Eddy Arnold “Many Tears Ago”
