Carlton Land Lachie Whitfield in a Trade

Lachie Whitfield is a Blue. Is he still a 2027 AFL Fantasy and SuperCoach premium, or a trade-in target by Round 6?

Carlton just landed the elite halfback rebounder they’ve chased for years. GWS took a mid-20s pick for him. And your 2027 defence might look very different because of it.

I break down what Whitfield brings to Josh Fraser’s Blues, whether Carlton’s system actually suits a high-volume distributor, and why the injury narrative is dead after four straight 20+ game seasons.

Then the fantasy stuff. He’s dropped 10 points per game in AFL Fantasy and 7 in SuperCoach over two seasons. He leaves behind the second-most kick-ins in the league. Lachie Ash, Joe Fonti and Harry Himmelberg all have a shot at that role. My call on whether to start Whitfield or wait is right at the end.

Social Media:

Facebook

Twitter

Instagram

TikTok

Check Out the Store
