The Texas Rangers managed to pull off a winning homestand against the Nationals and Angels even though their offense has been a no-show. The starting rotation, though, was very good and needed only minimal offense to help push the Rangers to a 4-2 record and into a tie for first place in the American League West. Cal Quantrill was very good Sunday, tossing six scoreless innings in a 5-3 win. He tossed seven scoreless to open the homestand. The Rangers also welcomed Logan O’Hoppe to the team, and he made his first start Sunday since being acquired before the trade deadline. Next up for the Rangers is a tough road trip to face the White Sox and Brewers, both division leaders.
