Jake Berger is a great person, with an eye on charity, but Texas Rangers fans seem split on whether he should be the first baseman in 2027. He led the team in home, runs and runs batted in and was a force against left-handed pitching. His defense was also solid with a 118-game streak without an error. However, he went through long droughts that resulted in a .221 batting average, and he struck out 167 times. Burger is arbitration eligible for the second time and should get a raise. Will he still have enough value to stay with the Rangers?
