#327 - Stephen Coniglio - The Relentless Giant

Stephen Coniglio is a legend of the GWS footy club. He is a former captain and vice-captain, the number 2 draft pick and has, at the time of recording, played 246 games for the Giants.

Cogs is about to take you behind the walls of GWS like you haven't heard before.

As one of the last remaining original Giants, Cogs shares the struggles of the early years, living at Breakfast Point, Kevin Sheedy's influence and players leaving. Plus, how they turned it into a destination club and the success they have had as a group.

We chat about the characters of the footy club, the big night after their first win and running into Chad Cornes & Dean Brogan at a nightclub.

Cogs opens up about being the first player in 20 years to be dropped as captain and how it soured the relationship with then coach, Leon Cameron. Add in the added element of the whole thing being filmed for the "Making Their Mark" documentary.

And speaking of moments caught on camera...Cogs shares that brutal spray he copped by Adam Kingsley!

We talk about the heartbreak of finals losses, his faith, the contract, celebration songs and the day Clarko found his way into his house and was waiting with a pitch for Hawthorn.

All this and more in a huge episode you're going to love!

Sit back and enjoy the most loyal of Giants, Stephan Coniglio!
